A key objective is to solicit questions and feedback regarding acquisition strategy, from industry following the presentation. The contemplated scope of work involves a seismic retrofit of the medical center’s acute care hospital, Building 100. This includes a structural retrofit of the hospital, with anticipated major foundation upgrades, requiring the replacement of boilers and a fuel tank. It also includes non-structural retrofit of building infrastructure and equipment with seismic bracing, enabling work including onsite swing space and a new structured parking garage, and an optional roof replacement, pending funding. Unlike previous efforts, the contemplated scope does not include a full replacement of the building’s exterior.
