This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the U.S. Government is not seeking quotes, bids or proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this sources sought notice. The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice. Submittals will not be returned to the responder. Not responding to this notice does not preclude participation in any future RFQ or IFB or RFP, if any is issued. The Government is seeking capable upfitters and technology integrators to provide, assemble, and install heavy-duty Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) docking stations, vehicle mounting consoles, power management systems, and associated cabling for federal law enforcement SUVs and sedans during fiscal year 2027. The specific vehicle makes, models, model years, and exact tablet/laptop models (e.g., Panasonic Toughbook, Dell Latitude Rugged, Getac) are unknown at the time of this Sources Sought notice. In response to this sources sought, please provide the following information by email to michelle_shoshone@ios.doi.gov 1. Company Name & Address: * Point of Contact (Name, Title, Email, Phone): *Unique Entity ID (UEI) & CAGE code: *Primary Business Size / Socioeconomic Status (e.g. Large, SB, SDVOSB, WOSB) 2. Please provide product brochures in .pdf format for the types of MDT vehicle docking stations, vehicle-specific center consoles, and motion/articulating mount assemblies your company can provide to support a future acquisition (e.g., Havis, Gamber-Johnson, RAM Mounts). 3. Since exact vehicle specs and computer models are currently undetermined, what is your standard lead time for procuring/delivering dock hardware, vehicle consoles, and wiring harnesses once vehicle and MDT specifications are finalized? 4. Do you maintain an inventory of standard vehicle consoles, universal docks, and wiring kits, or are mounting packages strictly built-to-order per vehicle platform? 5. Installation is anticipated within 50 miles of each of the following 3 locations: Washington, DC: 1901 Anacostia Drive SE, Washington, DC 20020 Staten Island, NY: 210 New York Ave, Staten Island, NY 10305 San Francisco, CA: 1217 Ralston Ave, San Francisco, CA 94129 If your company cannot support shop installation within 50 miles of each location, how would you support this acquisition? (e.g., flatbed vehicle pickup/delivery, mobile installation teams on-site at government bays, regional subcontractor network, etc.) 6. Does your company offer mobile upfitting/installation teams capable of performing installation on-site at Government facilities (provided the Government supplies a sheltered bay or secure lot)? 7. If installation occurs beyond the 50-mile radius, does your company offer vehicle pick-up and redelivery transport services? If yes, is transport pricing structured on a flat-rate per vehicle or a mileage-based rate? 8. What is your facility's secure vehicle storage capacity (indoor/fenced lot with 24/7 security) at or near each of the performance locations? 9. Are docking equipment and installation services available directly on your GSA MAS contract (e.g., under SIN 33411, 336320, or ANCILLARY SIN), or via a GSA Contractor Team Arrangement (CTA)? 10. What is your typical turnaround time (in business days) per vehicle for installing a complete MDT console, docking station, power shut-off timer/timer switch, and antenna pass-through assembly once a vehicle arrives at your shop? 11. What standard commercial warranty is provided on both the hardware (docks/mounts) and the electrical/installation labor? 12. Are your docking stations and vehicle console mounts crash-tested and compliant with SAE/FMVSS safety standards to prevent breakaway hazards during high-speed operations or airbag deployment? 13. What is your business size and socioeconomic status under NAICS 334111 (Computer Terminal Manufacturing - 1,250 employees), NAICS 336320 (1,000 employees), and/or NAICS 811111 ($9.0M)? If you are a Large Business, do you anticipate utilizing certified Small Business upfitting centers or subcontractors for local installation at the designated geographic locations?
