The Bacteriology Department U.S. NAMRU SOUTH collects large number of samples to identify patterns in drug resistant pathogens. Samples come from multiple Lima and Iquitos hospital sites as well as from other collaborating sites, such as Soto-Cano Base in Honduras, NAMRU SOUTH IRB approved protocols such as NAMRU6.2017.0012; NAMRU6.2013.0024.
