Description?
Project is to refurbish air handling unit (AHU) at Building 1171. To accomplish this several AHU components will need to be repaired/replaced. Work schedule shall be clearly delineated in a Gantt chart schedule with the dates submitted to the Government for review and approval. Existing Unit: Trane, s/n U3A26715. Contractor shall remove and replace all fan bearings as well as fan shaft. There should be no vibration, and a static air pressure test shall be conducted to ensure manufacturer's specification cubic feet per minute are being produced at supply air trunk. Contractor shall startup system to ensure existing AHU with Variable Frequency Drive. Contractor shall test the airflow to verify flows match original design. Contractor shall make sure that the loop remains free of air bubbles when filling the coil with water. Contractor shall test and balance the airflow to match original design airflow to conditioned areas. Replace fan shaft with original manufacturer size shaft and install new supports to mitigate vibration of the shaft. AMENDMENT 1 (14 APR 26): Amendment made to correct an admin error in the Evaluation Factors attachment. Original: Subfactor 1.1 mentioned a "Mobile Surveillance System" by mistake. Edit: Removed "Mobile Surveillance System" to avoid confusion on what requirement this is for. AMENDMENT 2 (27 APR 26): To address Request For Information, and to extend the solicitation to allow time for Offerors to address the RFI answer into their quote provided. RFI: "I was mistaken in regard to the serial# being incorrect vs. the solicitation. The issue is that the serial# does not exist with Trane anymore so the shaft size (length) is unavailable, however Trane has confirmed it being 1 of 2 different shafts. Trane is searching for the information to try and pinpoint the correct shaft. My sub will send me both quotes in hopes they will have the information by the deadline." Answer: "We rely on our Colorado Springs account manager, Danny Marsh at 719-482-6397 and danny.marsh@tranetechnologies.com, for parts and equipment information. He didn't receive any questions from contractors, so he/she is getting info from elsewhere. I can't tell the contractor which shaft should be provided as part of their proposal." Solicitation Extended - New Date Offers Due set to Friday 1 May at 12 PM MST.
