Description

The National Institutes of Health National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract on a sole-source basis to Molecular Devices, 3860 North First St., San Jose, CA 95134 for maintenance service for Molecular Devices SpectraMax Paradigm Multi-Mode Microplate Readers including: • Compliance Assurance Service Plan • Onsite Performance Assurance • Onsite Essential Protection • Consumable Parts Replacement. Performance will be for one year beyond date of award at: NIH Vaccine Immunology Program Lab, Suite 150, 9 West Watkins Mill Rd, Gaithersburg MD 20878 The Government has determined that only this source is reasonable because these machines provide critical data measurement to ongoing research studies and have been under proprietary factory service since installation. A change midway would introduce a variable, affecting the data integrity and standard of control for the study. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources that believe they can satisfy the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation no later than 5:00 PM EDT Wednesday, September 16, 2026 to James (Jim) French jim.french@nih.gov. Information submitted must demonstrate the respondent’s ability to meet the complete requirement. The Government will consider all timely responses before making its award decision. A determination not to compete the proposed acquisition based on responses received is within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not reimburse respondents for costs associated with responding to this notice.
