Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE BRIDGE CONTRACT THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE BRIDGE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Commerce (DOC), NOAA Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO) Eastern Acquisition Division , on behalf of the Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) Aircraft Operations Center (AOC), intends to award a firm fixed price sole source bridge contract for 12-months under the authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 1901 as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and permitted under FAR 6.103-2, Unusual and compelling urgency. Contracting Officers may solicit from only one source if the circumstances deem only one source is reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization). The object of this sole source award is to provide access to repair services from a Contractor for all of the P-3 aircraft wheel and tire assemblies maintained by AOC. The contractor shall comply with all of the maintenance manuals, manufacturer and NAVAIR requirements. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation; however, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or any other cost incurred in response to this announcement are the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
