Description?
This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements’. The Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) on behalf of the Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) hereby issues this notice of intent to award a sole source award to the InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards 700 K Street NW Suite 600, Washington, DC 20001 Background DHS requires access/participation in a collaboration forum or consortium consisting of organizations and vendors providing information and/or products related to the entirety of DHS and mandated by OMB Circular 119. Different branches of the service can utilize the standards for their organization, such as the U.S. Coast Guard. Other participating groups are, Biometrics and other JTC 1 and ISO Entities. DHS staff must be participating in the activities of these organizations. Such participation must be at a level or projected to be at a level that justifies obtaining a sponsorship. These requirements can only be met through a sole source agreement with InterNational Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS). Period of Performance: The anticipated period of performance is a 12-month base year and (3) 12-month option years. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. Any firm believing that they can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis.
