CALUMET HARBOR BREAKWATER REPAIRS, CHICAGO, IL- USACE CHICAGO DISTRICT PROJECT

This Solicitation Notice is being issued by the United States Army Corps of Engineers - Chicago District to inform interested/potential contractors of the District's issuance of an Invitation for Bid Package for its construction project entitled, "Calumet Harbor Break Water Repairs, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois (USACE Acquisition)." PROJECT INFORMATION: The proposed project consist of the placement of new armor stone and resetting existing armor stone as needed to the Calumet Harrbor attached breakwater. Repairs to the Breakwater would likely be conducted by a barge-mounted crane, barges carrying rock, Tugboats, and support vessels. Transport of stone would likely be via Lake Michigan. CONTRACTING OFFICE: USACE Chicago District, 231 SOUTH LaSALLE STREET, SUITE 1500, Chicago, IL 60604 ACQUISITION INFORMATION: Competition for this acquisition is restricted to HUBZone Small Businesses. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, with a small business size standard in dollars of $39.5M. The magnitude of cost for construction is estimated between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Solicitation (Invitation for Bids –“IFB”) will be downloadable from the INTERNET ONLY.
