Description?
RFI Amendment 1: This RFI amendment updates the response date to 24 April 2026. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, as defined in RFO FAR 15.101(c), to obtain information about capabilities, technical maturity, and other market information for planning purposes. This RFI is not a request for proposals; therefore, responses to this RFI are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information requested. Responses will be treated as information only and not as a proposal. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is seeking information regarding capabilities supporting an advanced technology development effort for large aircraft threat sensing and cueing. This is a science and technology effort focused on accelerating emerging technology development and transition to acquisition organizations for subsequent development and maturation. This advanced technology development includes concept and technology demonstrations of components and subsystems or system models with the intention to prove technological feasibility and assess subsystem and component operability and producibility. This effort seeks to demonstrate the general military utility of technology when applied to different types of military equipment or techniques ’ with the end-goal of transitioning technologies to acquiring organizations in the future. This technology demonstration effort is generally expected to achieve a Technology Readiness Level of 6 before transition.
