VENDOR QUESTION: Question: I had one question regarding the requirements. ’ It says R448a refrigeration replacing standard. ’ A little confused by that. ’ Is the R448a the requested refrigerant or is it requesting to replace that standard refrigerant with another? ’ Is R290a an acceptable alternative? ’ Answer: R290a is acceptable and what is called for on the specification sheet.
