SAP Notice of Intent to Sole Source THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) The Biotechnology Core Facility Branch (BCFB) within the Division of Core Laboratory and Scientific Resources (DCLSR) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to Peak International Group LTD. 210 Littleton Rd Suite 110 Westford, MA 01886. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain an equipment maintenance agreement for the two Peak Scientific Genius XE35 nitrogen gas generators used within BCFB to support mass spectrometers and DNA sequencers. The contractor will provide a Complete Plan 48/72 Service Plan (SL3a-Teir-NA) support service for the following systems: 1. Genius XE35 120V - SL0 S/N: 722100430 CDC Barcode: 247337 2. Genius XE35 120V - SL0 S/N: 724060569 CDC Barcode: 252756 SECTION 4 – TASKS TO BE PERFORMED Provide equipment maintenance of Genius XE35 120V - SL0 S/N: 722100430 CDC Barcode: 247337 Genius XE35 120V - SL0 S/N: 724060569 CDC Barcode: 252756 Provide on-site service visits with a maximum 48-hour response Provide unlimited parts for any service Includes Engineer labor and travel Provide priority status for technical support inquiries Conduct one Scheduled Preventative Maintenance visit The proposed vendor for this maintenance contract is the manufacturer of the equipment. The Peak Scientific is the only source for OEM parts. Peak Scientific also does not train, provide technical support, or sell any parts to any third-party vendors. In the company’s own words: “Peak Scientific Inc. does not train, nor authorize, any other organizations within North America to service or maintain Peak Scientific laboratory gas generators.” The anticipated award date of this action is on or before Aug, 01, 2026. The applicable NAICS code is 811210 Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to provide the warranties and proof as being an authorized distributor of the product. Capability statements shall not exceed 2 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
