Mesa Public Schools (“District”) is seeking responsible vendors to provide elevator modernization at Mesa High School according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. All qualified bidders are invited to respond to this invitation for Bids (“IFB”) by submitting a bid consistent with the terms, conditions, and specifications stated herein. The age of this equipment is approaching 45+ years old. The average lifespan of a Hydraulic Elevator is 25 to 30 years before systems begin to fail and require upgrades and or complete modernization of the 4 main components. The 4 major components of a hydraulic elevator system are as follows: Door Operator Controls the open and close of the doors at each landing. Speeds and torque are mandated by code. Controller The operational logic and power requirements are dictated by the controller. Microprocessor / network based systems comply with current safety and code requirements. Power Unit Contains the hydraulic fluid, pump. valve and motor to control the flow of hydraulic oil to the elevator at the proper speeds. Submersible units are todays standard. Signal Fixtures. The fixture devices which activate the movement of the car up and down. Signals to doors, and all auxiliary devices to comply with ADA Standards.
