The City of Seattle is soliciting bids for plastic kitchen food waste containers as part of its ongoing commitment to sustainability and waste reduction. As a recognized leader in green initiatives, Seattle aims to enhance its food waste management system by providing residents with efficient and user-friendly containers that facilitate composting. These containers are designed to support the city's efforts to divert food scraps from landfills, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting environmental health. The City has held a successful contract for Food Waste Containers since 2013. However, the current contract is set to expire and all renewal options have been exhausted.
