Description
This is a job order contract, which shall be used to provide the City with a readily available work force for repairs, alterations to existing facilities, emergency repairs and new construction, as the City deems appropriate. In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, diagnostic and troubleshooting of electrical circuits and/or electrical components; installation of new circuits, circuit breakers, contractors, transformers, variable frequency drives, motors, switches, relays, fixtures, and similar electrical components; high voltage (12.4 kV) switchgear switching, service, and repairs; calibrate, program, and/or replace relays and breakers; electrical panel service, repair, and maintenance; transformer service, repair, maintenance, and/or replacement when necessary; and miscellaneous associated work at such times and locations as required. The work shall be located in the United States Army Signal Activity Camp Roberts (USASACR). At the time of the bid opening, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class C-10 Contractor's license and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with high voltage (12.4 kV) switchgear, substations, and generators. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board. All contractor and sub-contractor license(s) must remain in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. The Contractor shall notify the City in writing in the event its license is suspended, expires, or has a change in signatory. All electricians performing work under this contract, as defined as making electrical connections at or above 100 volt-amperes, shall be certified pursuant to Section 3099 et seq. of the California Labor Code. Contractor shall submit proof of certification, or proof that the requirements of Section 3099.4 (a) of the California Labor Code have been met, prior to electricians commencing work under this contract .
