Multiple Library Annual Inspections of Fall Protection Systems
kcls / FIN - Facilities
Description
KCLS is seeking qualified vendors to provide Annual Inspections of Fall Protection Systems located on roofs across 26 libraries. This vendor will be responsible for ensuring that all of KCLS’ fall protection systems meet current regulations, safety standards, and engineering standards, by assessing, inspecting, and testing the systems as required by the Scope of Work. Bidders will be provided with access to KCLS Building Plans and Records for their reference. It is the responsibility of the bidder to familiarize themselves with the fall protection systems at each of the 26 library sites as part of this Scope of Work. The King County Library System (KCLS) is one of the top three largest circulating libraries in the United States. Located in the Puget Sound area, KCLS serves over one million residents at its 50 community libraries and with its Outreach services. Established in 1943, KCLS is a special purpose government that is governed by a Board of Trustees and operates under the constitution and laws of the State of Washington. The libraries, administration building, distribution center, maintenance shop and outreach services are places of work and gathering spots for the general public. Each library is unique in its layout and patron usage, so a one-size-fits-all approach will not work for the entire system.
