Description
The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to select a qualified Architectural and Engineering (AE) team with specific experience in the design and construction administration of public parks to build a Regional Park for the Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. The facility will be located in Arcola, Virginia on the parcel with identification number 201-37-3570, which contains approximately 257 acres and is planned to consist of 17 athletic fields with lighting, over 75 acres of passive recreational space, a Nature Center building, a Lodge building, a Park Office Building, Maintenance facilities, picnic shelters, renovation of Historical building (Hanson House), restrooms with concessions, handicapped accessible playground, and associated parking (“Park”). The successful offeror will demonstrate excellent management skills and technical expertise in order to: • Produce detailed and fully coordinated architectural and engineering designs, construction drawings and specifications; • Obtain any necessary approvals and permits from the County of Loudoun including the Loudoun County Department of Building & Development, and all other authorities having jurisdiction; • Present designs and descriptions of work to be accomplished to Community and user groups; • Develop fully coordinated construction and bid documents for the construction of a regional park; and • Provide construction administration services
