  "summary": "<p>The County of Sacramento Department of Airports is seeking a qualified firm, partnership, corporation, association, persons, or professional organizations as construction manager at-risk (&ldquo;CMAR&rdquo; or &ldquo;Firm&rdquo;) to perform pre-construction and construction services for the Sacramento International Airport Pedestrian Walkway from Terminal to Concourse B&nbsp;</p><p>The design of the Walkway follows several principles:</p><ul><li>Increase level of service during planned and unplanned outages of the APM by providing conditioned, ADA compliant circulation</li><li>Planning for future master plan expansion by adequately sizing the circulation space and structural requirements for Future Concourse C</li><li>Wayfinding is intuitive and promotes ease of passenger use with or without assistance</li><li>Constructability of new foundations must be coordinated with existing and proposed infrastructure including the baggage tunnel, existing roadways, and future realignment and expansion of Lindbergh Drive</li><li>Cohesive architecture and finishing to seamlessly integrate the visual appearance of Terminal B and Concourse B</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The Department envisions construction to be completed no later than November 2027 or sooner. In general, the selected CMAR delivery method will involve two parts:</p><ul><li>&nbsp;The provision of preconstruction services, including but not limited to review of the design documents; preparation of cost estimates and reconciliation of estimates prepared by the County&rsquo;s estimator; value engineering (VE) reviews; constructability/means and methods analysis; and recommendations for design changes. &nbsp;In addition, this phase will require preparation of an overall project schedule, procurement plan, and preparation of cost proposals in the form of a GMP; and</li><li>Construction of the Walkway, including self-performed construction, construction management, general conditions, and general requirements.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>The Department will be seeking Federal funding for eligible portions of this project and the actual amount is undetermined. &nbsp;</p>",
