color: rgb(0, 0, 0);\">The Orange County Board of Supervisors opposes AB 2557 because it will place costly, impractical, and burdensome requirements on local agencies that contract with vital service providers, such as non-profits, community-based organizations, and other private entities.&nbsp; margin-bottom: 8pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-decoration: underline; text-decoration-skip-ink: none;\">Notification Requirements (Effective January 1, 2025)</span></p><ul><li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><ul><li style=\"line-height: 1.295;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">The County must provide reasonable written notice to the employee organization before beginning a procurement process to contract for services currently or previously performed within the last five years by county employees.
