Description

The Henrico Circuit Courts Renovations project, located at 4301 East Parham Road, Henrico, Virginia, 23228, is generally described as the interior renovations of six total courtrooms and a new jury assembly area on the second floor. The renovated courtrooms in this project will be renovated in accordance with the 2012 Virginia Rehabilitation Code incorporating the 2012 International Building Code. The building is a mixed-use and the primary use group is Business (B) with accessory groups A-3, and S-2. The construction type is IIA, non-combustible construction. The building is and will be sprinklered with an NFPA-13 sprinkler system in portions of the building. Demolition of existing construction will consist of the removal of the existing judge’s bench including clerk’s station and witness stand, jury benches, gallery seating, all floor finishes, ceiling finishes, and wall coverings. Existing furniture will be removed by the owner prior to the beginning of construction. New interior partitions will primarily consist of 5/8" gypsum wall board on 3 5/8" galvanized steel studs with resilient channel, extending to deck with sound attenuation batts.
