cityofranchocordova / Public Works
Description
Rancho Cordova Public Works is soliciting Statements of Qualification (SOQs) from qualified firms with the intent of preparing a pre-qualified list of consultant firms from which the Public Works Department may select prospective consultants on an as-needed basis for Civil Design Services, Professional Land Surveying, Environmental and Stormwater Services in the City of Rancho Cordova. The City intends to include five (5) to seven (7) firms on the list for a term of three (3) years with an option for a two (2) year extension. Typical projects could include roadway, streetscape, stormwater systems or facilities, traffic signal installation or modification, landscaping, trail facilities, structures projects, or other Public Works projects. A sample list of potential future projects and their description, for which services may be requested, can be found in the City’s current Five Year CIP Plan. The projects will require a full service consultant with the ability to deliver a wide range of services including, but not limited to: topographic surveys, boundary survey, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey, preparation of legal descriptions and exhibit plats, construction staking, settlement monitoring, utility surveys, FEMA elevation certifications, aerial photography, aerial mapping, preparation of plans specification and estimates for projects including, but not limited to; sidewalk, stormwater, erosion control, bike facilities and trails, new roads, overlay of existing roadways, micro-surfacing, cape seal, striping, emergency damage assessment, mitigation and infrastructure restoration and/or rehabilitation, etc. The City performs numerous construction projects each year. Most of the projects qualify for categorical exemptions under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and categorical exclusions under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Some of the projects require environmentally related permits. The projects may require a full service consultant with the ability to deliver a wide range of services including, but not limited to: investigating proposed construction sites, determining if there are any potentially significant environmental impacts, preparing CEQA/NEPA documents and obtaining necessary permits for one or more projects. The City does have creeks and waterways that connect into the American River.
