Description
The purpose of this RFP is to invite prospective vendors to submit a proposal to supply a Social Media Management Platform (SMMP) to the City of Pasadena. The information provides vendors with the relevant operational, performance, application, and architectural requirements of the system. Our local government provides services and programs through 13 City departments to more than 139,000+ residents. The Public Affairs Division keeps the community and City employees updated on the City’s activities, services, and events. The division manages the City’s website and primary social media channels, produces press releases and original content, operates the local government TV channel, Pasadena Media’s KPAS, and serves as the spokesperson for the news media. Currently, we are working to increase awareness and engagement about City projects, services, and programs as well as to grow our followers on our primary social media channels: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), Youtube, LinkedIn, Flickr, and Nextdoor. Our social media efforts are organized by a work group of ten (10) staff members. To ensure that we effectively and efficiently manage proactive and emergency communications to our residents and stakeholders, our division is seeking to continue use of a social media management platform. We are interested in deploying a social media management platform to achieve the following: Simplify the process for ten (10) staff members to track, monitor, report and listen to mentions and conversations on multiple social media channels. Streamline the creation, scheduling, and management of social media content and digital assets on multiple social media channels. Improve engagement capabilities and tracking of customer service requests. Increase our ability to improve advanced social media analytics to more effectively direct communication strategies.
