  "summary": "<p>Washington County is requesting proposals from qualified organizations to provide SHS Shelter Operations at the City of Beaverton year-round congregate shelter to people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in Washington County. Through this procurement, the Department of Housing Services (DHS) is seeking a shelter operator(s) (&ldquo;Supplier&rdquo;) to contract with the County to provide services to support congregate shelter operation for 60 adult individuals. Eligible providers are invited to submit a response demonstrating their interest in and qualification for this project by September 1, 2023. The scope of this RFP includes shelter operations and any services associated with operating shelter.&nbsp; Bidders should be shelter operators with the ability to provide necessary services or the proven ability to partner with service providers who can provide the necessary services.&nbsp; Bidders must be qualified providers of shelter services in Washington County per the Tri County RFPQ qualified providers list.</p><p>The City of Beaverton shelter project consists of renovating and reprogramming a 12,040 square foot building located on a 1-acre parcel of land at 11380-11390 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway.&nbsp; The building will be repurposed as a year-round congregate shelter to house sixty (60) adults.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Shelter amenities will include a sleeping area, warming kitchen, private meeting space for case management, congregate eating space, private showers, bathrooms, guest storage, dedicated outdoor area with smoking and pet areas, washers/dryers, etc. In addition, the location will offer accessibility to public transportation, social services, and a grocery store.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Contract(s) will be issued directly as a result of this RFP process. Following this process, DHS will initiate contract negotiations with selected Supplier(s).</p><p>.</p>",
