Description
The Runway 25R Runway Safety Area (RSA) overrun at Daytona Beach International airport is 1,000 feet long beginning at the runway threshold and extends 500 feet wide, or 250 feet on each side of the runway centerline. During the airport's Part 139 inspection the Runway 25R RSA overrun was identified as having a possible safety concern (or discrepancy or deficiency) . The inspection identified surface variations that may not be consistent with the FAA Advisory Circular(s). The objective of the PROJECT is to update the RSA grading to meet to meet Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and to enhance the safety of air operat i ons at Daytona Beach International Airport. Runway 7L-25R is the airport's primary air carrier runway. The Contractor scope of work includes the construction of all of the above as required and included in the construction contract. Generally, the Contractor will furnish all materials, labor, incidentals, and supplies required to construct the project and deliver the same to the Owner, ready for use . The Contractor will provide performance and payment bonds; all work required to maintain traffic and meet the construction safety requirements ; final clean - up and restoration; and all paperwork that is required . This is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Grant funded project, The anticipated construction work is scheduled to begin on or around April 2025; therefore, the bidder must agree to hold pricing through at least April 2025.
