Description

The proposed PD&E study will evaluate alternatives for capacity and safety improvements along East Lake Road (CR 611) from south of Curlew Road to north of Trinity Boulevard, approximately 9.3 miles. The overall objective of this study is to accommodate future roadway capacity, improve traffic operations and improve safety conditions on East Lake Road within the project corridor. Alternatives evaluated will include widening the existing roadway to six lanes combined with innovative intersection improvements. Results of a previous study conducted by the County indicate that widening alone will not sufficiently address future capacity needs along the corridor.
