  "summary": "<p>The City of Santa Monica Farmers Market (SMFMS) is seeking applications from qualified persons or companies interested in providing prepared or pre-packaged food/beverage in the ancillary or \"community event\" section of its Certified Farmers Markets. This section is open to non-farmers to provide ambience and customer service to patrons and as a commercial opportunity for food businesses. Agreement for services are for an initial term of one (1) year, with four (4) options for renewal of one (1) year each, to be exercised at the City’s sole discretion.. The downtown Wednesday and Saturday markets are bustling locations, primarily featuring agricultural vendors, and are among the most well known markets in California. The Pico and Main Street Markets are well visited by the local communities and are a fun gathering of agricultural, food and retail for people to visit with family and friends to shop and eat on the weekends. All four markets operate year-round.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The four weekly markets are as follows:</p><p>Downtown Santa Monica Wednesdays: Arizona Ave and 2nd Street, 8am-1pm (Not currently seeking vendors)</p><p>Downtown Santa Monica Saturdays: Arizona Ave and 3rd Street, 8am-1pm (Seeking 1 pastry vendor)</p><p>Saturday Pico Market at Virginia Ave Park: Pico and Cloverfield, 8am-1pm (Seeking 3 or more food and/or beverage vendors)</p><p>Sunday Main Street Market: Main Street and Ocean Park, 8:30am-1:30pm (Seeking 3 or more food and/or beverage vendors)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Prepared and pre-packaged foods that duplicate existing products sold as processed agricultural products in the agricultural section of the farmer's market will not be considered. These include but are not limited to juices, jams and jellies, salsa, pickles, shelled nuts, nut butters, oils, milks, cheeses and processed dairy products, dried fruits and dried meats.</p>",
