  "summary": "<p>Pursuant to the General Statutes of North Carolina, Section 143‐129, sealed proposals are invited and will be received by the Town of Mooresville for the furnishing of all materials, labor, equipment and construction of the Dye Creek Greenway, consisting of one contract having the following principal items:</p><p><strong>Approximately 3240 LF of proposed greenway extension along new alignment from Bellingham Park to Boxtail Way, 1680 LF of proposed sidewalk and roadway improvements along SR 1147 (Rocky River Rd) from Johnson Manor Street to Dye Creek, and 7030 LF of proposed greenway from Dye Creek on new alignment to parking lot and access to SR 1142 (Johnson Dairy Farm). The project will include grading, drainage, paving, sidewalk, curb and gutter, pavement markings, boardwalks and pedestrian bridges for the Bellingham park greenway extension.</strong></p><p>All work shall be performed in accordance with the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures dated January 2018 with all amendments and supplements and/or Town of Mooresville Standards.</p><p>Sealed bids should be submitted to the attention of Mr. Jonathan Young, PE, Town of Mooresville &ndash; Engineering Services Director, 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, North Carolina 28117 and marked <strong>&ldquo;QUOTATION FOR &ndash; EB-5787 GRADING, DRAINAGE, PAVING, SIDEWALK, CURB AND GUTTER, PAVEMENT MARKINGS, BOARDWALKS AND STRUCTURES FOR BELLINGHAM PARK GREENWAY EXTENSION.&rdquo; TO BE OPENED AT 2:00 PM ON THURSDAY, 09/28/2023.&rdquo;</strong></p><p>Sealed bids will be received at the Town of Mooresville, Public Operations Building, 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, North Carolina 28117 until <strong>2:00 P.M. ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2023</strong>, at which time the BIDS will be publicly opened and read aloud.</p><p>Contract documents, including Drawings and Technical specifications, are available for viewing in the Town of Mooresville Public Operations Building at 2523 Charlotte Highway. Full copies of the documents may be obtained from <strong>Duncan Parnell (</strong><a href=\"http://www.dpibidroom.com\"><strong>www.dpibidroom.com</strong></a><strong>). NOTE THAT PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS MUST OBTAIN CONTRACT DOCUMENTS THROUGH DUNCAN PARNELL DIRECTLY, NOT THROUGH DODGE OR AGC, IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED AN OFFICIAL PLANHOLDER.</strong></p><p>Any questions regarding this project may be addressed by contacting the Project Manager, Mr. Jonathan Young, PE at (704) 799‐4065.</p><p>Bidder Prequalification &ndash; Bidders are required to be prequalified with NCDOT for their specific discipline. Please refer to Section 102‐2 of the NCDOT 2018 Standard Specifications. Contractors wishing to become prequalified may obtain information through the NCDOT website at <a href=\"http://www.ncdot.gov/business/\">http://www.ncdot.gov/business/.</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>A <strong><u>pre‐bid meeting (not mandatory)</u> </strong>for explanation of the project requirements will be conducted at the Town of Mooresville, Public Operations Building, 2523 Charlotte Highway, Mooresville, North Carolina at 10:00 AM on, <strong><u>September 12, 2023</u></strong>.</p><p>The BIDDER to whom a contract may be awarded shall fully comply with the requirements of all North Carolina General Statues governing the practice of general contracting and the procedures for letting of public contracts.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Accompanying this bid is a bid bond secured by a corporate surety, or certified check payable to the order of the Town of Mooresville, for five percent (5%) of the total bid price, which deposit is to be forfeited as liquidated damages in case this bid is accepted and the Bidder shall fail to provide the required payment and performance bonds with the Town of Mooresville, under the condition of this proposal, within 14 calendar days after the written notice of award is received by him, as provided in the Standard Specifications; otherwise said deposit will be returned to the Bidder.</p><p style=\"line-height: 1.21807; margin-top: 6.56866pt; margin-right: 0.0175781pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; padding-left: 0.102844px;\">No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening except as may be allowed under North Carolina General Statues.</p>",
