The Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Stanislaus Region Transit Amenities Cleaning and Maintenance Services was originally due to StanCOG on April 29, 2021. StanCOG is reissuing the RFP with a new submittal due date of June 28, 2021. StanCOG is the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and Regional Transportation Planning Agency (RTPA) for the Stanislaus County region, which is largely rural, with agricultural lands and open space. Communities are characterized by lower density development and are dispersed and disconnected. The majority of the county’s population lives in close proximity to State Route 99 in the cities of Modesto, Ceres, and Turlock. At present, public transit services are provided by two transit operators, the Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (StanRTA) and Turlock Transit.
