202310020 - TERMINAL 1 APRON REHABILITATION
flyontario / Capital Development
Description
The scope of this project is to rehabilitate the Terminal 1 and FIS Apron area north of Taxiway November and to the east and west side of Taxilane G. Based on the 2018 pavement management study, several airfield pavement sections were identified as recommended for rehabilitation and maintenance and the area of this project was recommended to be rehabilitated per the APMS report. OIAA intends to use the ramp area for aircraft parking by the completion of each work area as identified in the project phasing plan. The scope of work will include: • Replacement of PCC apron for the Amazon apron with Asphalt pavement • Replacement of the asphalt concrete pavement area southwest of the Amazon ramp which is currently used for GSE parking. The intent is to repurpose that pavement area to park an ADG III aircraft (B737) with associated striping and rebuild in asphalt. • Demolition and removal of asphalt pavement on the east side of Taxilane G pavement near the FIS apron. This is an airside project, with all improvements within the secure AOA perimeter of the Airport. All ONT badging, access, driver safety, and contract requirements must be met as part of the scope. The following presents a summary of work elements detailed in the contract plans and specifications, including, but not limited to, the following: General Construction: • ONT coordination • Permits and agency coordination • Maintenance of traffic, detours, and flaggers • FOD and dust control and sweeping • Security escort services • Mobilization and demobilization • Temporary and Permanent barricades, lighting, signage, and markings • Temporary drainage, erosion control and SWPPP • Contractor’s field office and laydown • Construction survey and stakeout
