Hillside Boulevard Road Diet Improvements Project

Description

General work description: The work generally consists of items listed below and is located along Hillside Boulevard from Lincoln Street to Lawndale Boulevard, South San Francisco, CA. A detailed scope of work is included in the bid documents. • Install project signs; • Provide notification and postings required by the special provisions and specifications; • Provide traffic control throughout the duration of the project per the approved traffic control plan; • Prepare Water Pollution Control Program and submit to the City for review for approval as part of the project submittal; • Comply with the Construction Waste Management Plan (WMP) ordinance reporting requirements of the City (See appendix page for the procedures and forms);Conform with existing asphalt concrete; • Construct full depth hot mix asphalt pavement at locations designated on the plans; • Sawcut existing asphalt concrete and remove existing pavement section; • Remove existing sidewalk, curb and gutter and off-haul and dispose of all concrete material; • Install new curb ramps; • Install drainage components and trench drains • Construct new sidewalks, curb ramps with truncated domes, and curb and gutter; • Install a new traffic signal at the Hillside Boulevard and Lincoln Street intersection; Adjust vehicle detection at the Hillside Boulevard at Lawndale Boulevard, Hillside Boulevard at Chestnut Avenue and Hillside Boulevard at Stonegate Drive intersections; install cellular communication devices and reconnect existing signal interconnect cable; • Remove existing striping and markings and install new pavement striping, markings and markers; • Apply slurry seal along the full width of pavement for entire project limit • Replace existing chain link and wood fence • Demobilize and complete Final clean-up The Contractor shall be responsible to furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment, incidentals and services necessary to complete all the work as specified and in accordance with the plans and specifications for the HILLSIDE BOULEVARD ROAD DIET IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, PROJECT NO. TR1906, BID NO. 2656. At the time of contract award, the successful Bidder must be legally entitled to perform contracts requiring a Class A Contractor's license. Any Bidder or contractor not so licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law including, but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Contractors' State License Board.
