Description
Chesapeake Public Schools is requesting sealed proposals from qualified vendors that have demonstrated competence and possess the ability and experience necessary to provide claims administration including, medical cost containment services, for its self-Insured workers' compensation programs as it pertains to medical excess risk coverage for the District. Qualified offerors must fully meet the needs of the District as specified in the RFP and any associated attachments. The District requires a dedicated lost-time and medical only/record only adjuster for the term of the contract. Administration of the claims shall include services for care management, a medical provider network, calculating all lost time, to include the average weekly wage, prescription drug services in which all medications will be approved by the vendor in a timely manner, and prevention activities either as part of the claim’s administration control or as a separate contract. The firm will compile and complete the OSHA 300 log and summary to be submitted on a yearly basis to OSHA as an additional service or separate contract. The TPA and associated vendors will not review the cost of these wellness center's prescriptions or other medical-related costs and will not allocate or charge "savings" fees. The District requires the contract to be effective upon award.
